Job Summary: In this role, you will collaborate with teams responsible for the Discovery experience, focusing on the Home page, Details page, and Search functionalities. Our Customer Experience (CEX) team oversees every aspect of the customer journey, from signup to showcasing personalized content. We aim to deliver fast and intuitive experiences across various platforms, catering to millions of users. Innovation, experimentation, and data-driven decisions are at the core of our approach.
About the Team: The Quality Engineering (QE) team within Discovery is dedicated to building test automation frameworks, synthetic test data engines, and orchestrators to accelerate testing in a shift-left environment. We collaborate closely with other quality, DevOps, and development teams to build a robust test infrastructure that supports fast and frequent releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop highly scalable test frameworks and infrastructure capable of handling thousands of tests per day.
- Ensure automation results are reliable and trustable, enabling hands-free releases.
- Contribute innovative solutions to complex test automation challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality discovery experiences across various devices.
- Guide peers in developing Quality Engineering roadmaps and test systems to drive product quality.
Skills & Attributes for Success:
- Proficiency in automation for front-end client applications such as Mobile, TVs, Set Top Boxes, or Living Room devices.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, SQL, DB scripting, and CI/CD principles.
- Experience with backend tools or frameworks for testing REST APIs, microservices, and data migration.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, performance testing, and cloud providers like Amazon AWS.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in software development processes.
- Hands-on experience with Linux commands, shell scripts, and building POCs.
